Gold status award

The label for sustainable hotels, the gold status includes, among other things:
  • Employee wages are all above the minimum wage
  • We are involved in the region
  • The majority of our suppliers are from the region
  • We work to a large extent with regional craftsmen
  • We use almost exclusively ecological cleaning products
  • We generate a profit so that we can invest in renewal in good time

There are several charging stations in the Berntor multi-storey car park on Dornacherplatz, just a 3-minute walk from the hotel.

  • Organic whole milk from local farmers
  • Homemade jam with fruit from the neighbourhood and further afield
  • Forest and meadow honey from Flumenthal or further afield
  • Cheese from the Thal, Bucheggberg, Jura and Wasseramt regions
  • Bread from the Duo bakery in Solothurn
  • Yoghurt and quark from the Lanz dairy in Obergerlafingen
  • Cider from the Müller family farm in Wangenried

Member of Swissstainable

A Swiss sustainability programme from tourism for tourism. The commitment to sustainable management in the tourism sector will be given visibility. Existing certifications (e.g. IBEX), initiatives and programmes will be integrated and recognised, provided they meet certain standards. The programme is not a new certification.

Reduced change of linen in the room



If towels are not on the floor, they will not be changed.
For longer stays, bed linen is changed twice a week, or more than once if required.
